"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Friday 29 Oct 1929: 
" Midland, Md., Oct 29-William A. Woods, Lonaconing and Miss Marie Esther, Canty, 
daughter of William Canty, this place, were married Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's 
Catholic Church. Alexander Woods was best man and Miss Catherine Canty, bridesmaid. 
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
William Canty."
