"In the name of God Amen I Archibald Arnold of Allegany County in the State of Maryland being in health of body and of Sound and disposing mind and memory considering the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time there of and being desirous to Settle my worldly affairs and there by be the better prepared to leave this world when it Shall please God to call me hence. I therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say- First and principally I Commit my Soul in to the hands of my maker and my body to the earth in hopes of its resurection through the merits of my Blessed redeemer Jesus Christ. Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Jonathon Arnold his Heirs and assigns the following tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Allegany County to wit (:) the tract of land Called LEVEL RIDGE containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less also a tract of land Called BOTTOM containing one hundred and three quarters acres more or less also the tract of land Called THE ADDITION TO LEVEL RIDGE also part of LOT NUMBER FOUR THOUSAND AND SEVENTY ONE containing four acres and twenty two perches also a tract of land Called DURBIN'S NEGLECT also a tract of land Called YOU HAVE LOST IT. Item I give and bequeath to my son Anthony Arnold his Heirs and assigns the following Lots tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Allegany County to wit (:) LOT NUMBER THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE Containing fifty acres more or less also a tract of land Called THICKETT containing fifty acres more or less Item It is my will and desire that the tract of land that I own called WHITE OAK POINT and all lands that I own adjoining there to be divided into five equal parts and one fifth there of I bequeath unto my grand Son Archibald Logsdon one other fifth to my grand son Joseph Arnold one other fifth to my grand daughter Mary Arnold one other fifth to my grand daughter Susanna Arnold and the other fifth to be equally divided between my two grand Children namely Nancy Arnold and Simon Arnold. Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine Sapp wife of George Sapp the Sum of three hundred Dollars to be paid her by my son Jonathon in twelve months after my Decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my grand Daughter Frances Logsdon one Negro boy named James also my farm and gears and two Cows. Item I give snd bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal to my son Jonathon Arnold his Heirs and assigns. And Lastly I do hereby constatute (sic) and appoint my son Jonathon Arnold to be Sole Executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annuling all former Wills by me heretofore made Ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty two.
