Amen. I Joseph Boxwell of Allegany County and State of Maryland, being of sound and disposing mind, memory, and discretion, but weak in health, and being also desirous to settle all my worldly affairs, do make this my Last Will and Testament, as follows, viz, I devise and bequeath the whole of my Estate, Real, Personal, and Mixed, both in Law and Equity, to my four daughters Sarah, Winifred, Letty and Mary, to have and to hold to them, share and share alike, and to their heirs for ever. And is is my will that if either of the said Legatees shall die, not having lawful issue at the time of her death, then and in that case, her portion shall go to and be divided among the surviving Legatees share and share alike. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 7th day of April 1838. Joseph Boxwell {seal} We the subscribers, in whose presence the above will was signed, sealed, published and declared, by the Testator to be his Last Will and Testament, do at the request of the Testator, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, sign our names as Witnesses thereto, this 7th day of April 1838.
