I direct that my debts and funeral expenses be paid. 2. To my daughters, Sarah Kraft and Elizabeth Michler, I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my personal estate, to be equally divided between them, share and share alike. 3. And lastly, I appoint John B. Widener of said city of Cumberland, Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. Witness my hand and seal this Seventh day of October, in the year eighteen hundred and seventy six. (in German) Appollonia Guhtmann (SEAL) Signed, sealed, published and declared by Appolenia Guhtman, the above named testatrix as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names and witnesses hereto. John Kolb Henry Hast State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On this the 2nd day of February 1894, came Andrew Kraft, the husband of Sarah Kraft, one of the legatees named in the aforegoing last will and testament of Appollonia Guhtmann, late of Allegany County Maryland, deceased, who found the said will among the private effects of the said deceased, after her decease, and made oath in due form of law that the aforegoing instrument of writing is the true whole last will and testament of the said deceased that hath come to his hands or possession and that he does not know of any other. Test. A. H. Dowden, Register State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On this 5th day of February 1894, came Henry Hast, one of the subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of Appolonia Guhtmann, late of Allegany County Maryland deceased, and made oath in due form of law that he, in the presence of John Kolb (now deceased) the other subscribing witness to the said will, did see the testatrix therein named, sign and seal said will, that he heard her publish, pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament, that at the time of her so doing she was, to the best of his apprehension of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, capable of executing a valid deed or contract, and that they respectively subscribed his name as a witness thereto, at the request of the testatrix in her presence and all in the presence of each other. Dowden, Register State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On this 5th day of February 1894, before me the subscriber, Register of Wills of the State of Maryland in and for Allegany County, personally appeared John A. Kolb, a son of John Kolb, now deceased, one of the subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of Apollonia Guhtmann, late of Allegany County, Maryland deceased, and made oath in due form of law, that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of the said John Kolb deceased, the subscribing witness aforesaid, and that he believes that the signature of the said witness John Kolb deceased, to the aforegoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of the said Appolonia Ghutmann, deceased, to be his the said John Kolb's, genuine signature to said will as therein set forth and written.
