These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. _________________________________________________________________________ Will of Marietta Laney In the name of God, Amen, I, Marietta Laney, of LaVale, a suburb of the city of Cumberland, in Allegany County, Maryland, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and desiring to settle my earthly affairs so as to be the better prepared when it shall please Almighty God to call me hence, do make, publish and declare this and none other to be my last will and testament, in manner and form following: First:- I commit my soul unto Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix and executor hereinafter named, and after the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I give, devise and bequeath my estate as follows; Second:- I give, devise and bequeath all my property and estate of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situated, of which I may die seized or to which I may be entitled to at the time of my death, absolutely and in fee simple unto my beloved sister Ellen Belle Laney. Third and lastly:- I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said sister, Ellen Belle Laney and my cousin, Charles R. Morris, the executrix and executor of this my last will and testament, and I hereby revoke any and all wills heretofore by me made. Witness my hand and seal this 31st, day of August, in the year Nineteen Hundred and Twenty Eight.
