The will was located in Book 2 Page 304 in the Register of Wills, Bedford County, Pennsylvania and was copied verbatim. Punctuation marks have been added for clarity. In the name of God Amen, I, William Leazer, of Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County, State of Pennsylvania, farmer, being very sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding (blessed be God for the same) but ____ the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit principally, and first of all, I commend my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth, to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as to such wordly estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give and dispose of the sums in the following manner to wit: I give and devise all my real estate in the County of Bedford aforesaid, and forty four acres of land in the State of Maryland adjoining the same. I give and devise the same unto my dear wife Pheby and my son Zeaby and my daughter Purdy during their natural lives and form and amediately (sic) after their (sic) decease I give and devise of the same unto my two son Thomas Leazer and George Leazer or the ____, survivors of them and the heirs of such ____ or survivors equally to be divided between them. And to my son John Leazer I give and devise all that tract of land called "Honest Miller" lying and being situated (sic) in Alleghany (sic) County State of Mareland (sic) to him the said John Leaszer or his heirs forever. And to my son William Leazer I give and devise the sum of fifty dollars. And to my daughter Pheby I give and devise the sum of one hundred dollars. And my personable estate is to be divided between my three children namely Thomas Leazer and Pheby Leazer and George Leazer equally. And lastly I nominate, constitude (sic) and appoint my dearly beloved sons Thomas Leazer and George Leazer of Cumberland Valley Township to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequasts (sic) by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelveth day of June in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and twenty.
