Montgomery, deceased. Filed and sworn to as to custody by Richard R. Montgomery, the Executor and proven by Isaac Johnson and Lennox Perrin two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and admitted to probate and record this 3rd day of January 1882, Test Jno Rhine, Register." "In the name of God Amen, I Frances R. Montgomery of Allegany County in the state of Maryland being in perfect health of body and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First and principally I commit my soul unto the hands of the Allmighty God and my body to the earth to be decently burried at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid. I devise and bequeath one thousand dollars in money to my Grand daughter Evalyn Montgomery. And all the rest of my estate, real and personal, moneys, notes bonds or securities which I may possess at the time of my death to my Grand Son Howard Montgomery. Likewise I make constitute and appoint my son Richard . Montgomery to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made satisfying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three."
