Rice of the City of Cumberland, Maryland do make this my last will and testament, in manner following that is to say: I give devise and bequeath unto my son and only child Oliver Baker, the son of my late husband Daniel C. Baker, All my property of every kind and description, real personal and mixed and wherever situated, I appoint Rev. Philip N. Meade to be guardian of my said son, and to be the executor of this my will, hereby revoking all other wills made by me. In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal on the twenty third day of December eighteen hundred and eighty five. Fanny M. Rice, as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who, at her request and in her presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names, as witnesses thereto. Robert R. Henderson Anna M. Henderson State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On this 15th day of January 1886, came Philip N. Meade the executor named in the aforegoing last will and testament of Fanny M. Rice, late of Allegany County, deceased, and made oath in due form of law that the aforegoing instrument of writing is the true whole last will and testament of said deceased, that hath come to his hand or possession and he does not know of any other. Test. Jno Rhind, Register State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On the 15th day of January 1886 came Robert R. Henderson and Anna M. Henderson, the two subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of Fanny M. Rice, late of Allegany County, deceased, and made oath in due form of law, that they did see the testatrix therein named sign and seal said will, that they heard her publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament, that at the time of her so doing, she was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, capable of executing a valid deed or contract and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to said will, at the request of the testatrix, in her presence, and all in the presence of each other.
