Rice of Allegany County and State of Maryland, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all wills by me heretofore made. First: I direct my executrix, hereinafter named, to pay my funeral expenses and all my just debts and liabilities; as soon as can conveniently be done after my decease. Second: I give will and bequeath to my wife Sadie C. Rice, my house and lot, with all appurtenances thereto, located in Allegany County aforesaid, to have and to hold during her natural life. Third: I give, will and bequeath to my aforesaid wife, Sadie C. Rice, all my personal property to have and to hold during her natural life. Fourth: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real and personal, wheresoever situate, of which I may die seized and possessed, or in any wise entitled to, not hereinbefore effectually disposed of, I give devise and bequeath to my afore said wife Sadie C. Rice, to have and hold during her life. Fifth: I will and devise that at the death of my said wife Sadie C. Rice, all property real and personal, shall be divided equally, share and share alike, among my children - Ruby M. A. Rice, George P. S. Rice, Albert C. Rice, William E. Rice, or such of my heirs who may survive my said wife Sadie C. Rice. Sixth: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said wife, Sadie C. Rice, executrix of this my last will and testament. Rice, as and for his last will and testament, in presence of us, who at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Rice, the Executrix named in the aforegoing last will and testament of George P. Rice, late of Allegany County, Maryland, deceased, who made oath in due form of law: that she received the said will for safe keeping from the hand of George P. Rice, the testator, on the 23rd day of June 1900, the date of the signing and sealing thereof. And the said Sadie C. Rice, further made oath, that the aforegoing instrument of writing is the true, whole last will and testament of the said George P. Rice, deceased, that hath come to her hand or possession and that she does not know of any other will and testament of the deceased aforesaid: Test Hervy W. Shuck Register of Wills State of Maryland Allegany County to wit: On the 9th day of August, 1923, came George Lotz, the first subscribing witness to the aforegoing last will and testament of George P. Rice, late of Allegany County, Maryland, deceased who made oath in due form of law; that he did see George P. Rice, the testator, sign and seal said will; that he heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last will and testament; that at the time of his doing he was, to the best of his apprehension, of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, capable of executing a valid deed or contract, and that he together with Samuel W. Reeser and Joseph G. Smith (now deceased) the second and third subscribing witnesses to said will, respectively subscribed his name as a witness thereto at the request of George P. Rice, the testator, in his presence and all in the presence of each other. And on the 9th day of August 1923, the signature of the said Joseph G. Smith (now deceased), the third subscribing witness to the will aforesaid, was proven by Charles R. Morris and George Lotz, of Allegany County, Maryland, who made oath in due form of law; that they were very well acquainted with said Joseph G. Smith and familiar with his handwriting and that his signature as a witness to said will is his Genuine signature to the best of their knowledge and belief. Test Hervy W.
