All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Images can be found at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/wills/sigler-j1.jpg http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/wills/sigler-j2.jpg http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/wills/sigler-j3.jpg Last Will and Testament of Jacob Sigler In the Name of God Amen, I Jacob Sigler of Allegany County, and State of Maryland Farmer being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and after my debts and funeral charges are all paid I devise and bequeath as follows:- Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Sigler one third part of all my Real and personal estate for her and during her natural life time only should she live longer than I do. 2nd: I give bequeath and devise unto my sons, daughters and Grandson as follows John Sigler, Philip Sigler, Peter Sigler who is now living in the State of Ohio, Mary Rechner now Married to Joseph Rechner, Nancy Loughridge now married to Abraham Loughridge, Elizabeth Baily now married to William Baily and living in the State of Virginia and to my Grandson John I. Sigler All of my real and personal estate, my real estate consisting of abought two hundred and twenty three Acres of Land lying and being in Allegany County, State of Maryland as reference being had to the original title papers will more fully and at large appear all to be equally divided amongst them my said sons, daughters and Grandson them their heirs, Executors Administrators and assigns for ever equal share and share alike. And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Sigler to be sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former Wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 13th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty, 1840.
