I Philip Sigler, of Allegany County in the State of Maryland, being in perfect health of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding, considering the certainty of death and the undertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say: First: and principally, I commet my Soul into the hands of Almighty god, and my body to the earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid, I devise and bequeath as follows: Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife, Elizabeth Sigler, the one third of my real and personally property for and during her natual life and after her decease, as follows, to wit: Item. I give and bequeath to my son Otho Sigler in addition to what I have heretofore given him, the sum of one dollar. Item. I give and bequeath to my daughter to Ellen Rinehart, married to John Rinehart, should she outlive me the sum of fifty dollars. Item. I devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Estate, both real and personal, be there moreless to be equally dived among my sons and daughters hereinafter named to theirs, their heirs and assigns, forever in fee, in equal postion, share and share alike, to my son Jacob Sigler, to my daughter Mary Taylor, married to Eli Taylor, to my daughter, Jane Michaels, married to David Michaels, to my son, Jefferson R. Sigler, to my son Silas Sigler to my daughter, Martha Ann Potter, married to John Potter, to my son Philip Sigler and to my son George T. Sigler and their heirs as aforesaid, share and share alike. And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoing my son in law David Michaels to be sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and annulling all former Wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 24th day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty seven.
