In the name of God, Amen, I William Wiland of Allegany County & state of Maryland- being sick and weak in Body but of Sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding. Considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to Call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. First and principally, I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God, and my Body to the earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named and after my debts and Funeral Charges are paid and my wifes thirds taken out. and also a Judgment against my son Joel Wiland but now Released and his notes given for the same amounting to one hundred and fifty dollars more or less with Interest to be paid out of my estate, coming to George A. Pea?? attorney of Thomas Bell. And my son Joel Wiland stands indebted to me fourteen notes amounting to Seven hundred dollars for which he the said Joel Wiland is to keep my wife Margaret so long as She shall live; and then and after the said Joel Wiland shall be Released from the payment of the same thereof. and the same release in full after the death of his mother and also the Mortgage given by my son for the seven hundred dollars to be Released at the death of his Mother, for the Maintainance of her so long as She shall live. And then and after the above named debts are all paid, a fair and equal distribution to be made amongst my children or my heirs each. And Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Joel Wiland to be sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made, ratyfying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.
