On the North with the said Swamp and Creek, Containing Three Hundred and Fifty acres more or less. Laid out more for him another parcell of Land Adjoyning to the said Three Hundred and Fifty Acres. Beginning at the First Marked Oak near Howards Hollow and bounding on the West and South with the said Land, On the North with the said Creek. On the East with a line drawn South South West, from a point in the said Creek called Howard’s point unto a Marked Oak of the South line of the said Land, Containing Forty and five acres more or less, Laid out more for him another parcell of Land adjoyning to the first beginning at a Marked Oak in the Swamp called Howard’s Swamp bounding on the North with the said Swamp and a line drawn from the said Oak South West for the length of Fifty perches, on the West with a line drawn South from the End of the first line South into the Woods. For the length of two Hundred and ten Perches. On the South with a line drawn East from the End of the South line for the length of Ninety and Five perches, On the East with a line drawn North from the End of the Eastern line unto a Marked Oak being the Western bound of the Three hundred and Fifty Acres, Containing two Hundred Fifty and five Acres more or less. Containing and now laid out in the whole for Six Hundred and Fifty acres more or less. Robert Clark, Surveyor. The “Rent Rolls”, p.60 (Rent Rolls A & B #1, f. 60, Microfilm SR4376, Maryland Hall of Records) states: “650 acres, Howard Sur: 3 July 1650 for Mathew Howard on ye South side of Severn River.
