Laid out for Cornelius Howard a parcel of Land (called Howards Heir Ship) 
lying on the South side of Severne River, at the head of a Creek, called 
Hockeley Creek in Ann Arrundall County Beginning at a marked red Oak, in a 
bottom of a Valley and bounded by a Line drawn East and by North for the 
breadth of One hundred perches, to a marked pine, then South Twenty perches, 
to a marked red Oak, at the head of Hockeley Creek, on the South by a line 
drawn South West from the said red Oak for breadth One hundred and Sixty 
perches to a white Oak, then North West five perches to a marked red Oak, on 
the South by a line drawn South West, for the length of Two hundred and 
Seventy perches, to a marked red Oak, and by a Line drawn West from the said 
red Oak One hundred thirty five perches, to a marked poplar in a bottom by a 
branch of broad Creek, on the West by a Line drawn North from the said poplar, 
for breadth fifty perches to a Spanish Oak, and from the said Oak, North East 
Two hundred and Ninety perches to a Spanish Oak on the North by a Line drawn 
East from the last named Oak, the breadth of One hundred and forty perches to 
the first marked oak on the East with the head of Hockeley Creek Containing 
and how laid out for Four hundred and twenty Acres more or less.  To be held 
of the Mannor of Baltemore.
