C:C: (248) January 23, 1662 To the honble the Lieuet Generall Laid out for Mathew Howard a parcel of Land called Howards Inheritance by the assignment of Henry Cattlin being severall tens(?) of town Land and now brought into one Entire freehold, and lying of the North side of Severne River in Ann Arrundall County Beginning at a marked red Oak by a cove called Crouches Cove and bounded on the East by a Line drawn North and by West for the breadth of forty perches, to a marked Stake, then East Thirty Six perches to a marked pokehikary Tree, marked with Twelve Notches, then North East and by East forty perches, to a poplar then South East and by East forty perches to a poplar, marked with twelve Notches, then North East and by East Thirty perches to a marked Stake on the North by a Line drawn North North West from the sd Stake fifty perches, to a marker poplar being abounded Tree of William Hopkins and Thomas Brownes and from the said poplar for length West One hundred and Sixty perches to a marked pokehikary on the West by a Line drawn South West and by South from the said pokehikary for breadth forty perches, to another pokehikary then South and by East Thirty two perches, to a marked Wallnut by Cattlins Cove, on the South by Cattlins Cove and the River unto the first marked red Oak Containing and now laid out for One hundred and thirty Acres more or less.
