ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD - OBITUARIES - Earl D. Walsh, 24 Aug 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Earl D. Walsh SEVERNA PARK, Md. -- Earl D. Walsh, 73, of Arnold, Md., died Sunday, August 24, 2003, at Anne Arundel Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Walsh was born and raised in Butler, Tenn., and had lived in Arnold for 35 years. He was a 1956 graduate of East Tennessee State University, and was a retired Chemical Engineer after 25 years with Westinghouse. Mr. Walsh served in the U.S. Air Force from 1945-1955. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was assistant scout master for five years. He loved working crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife, Margaret J. Walsh, Arnold; two daughters, Cheryl A. Brock, Arnold, and Susan C. Whittington, Annapolis; a son, Larry A. Walsh, Pasadena; three sisters, Gladys Evans, Ula Mae Main and Anna Ruth Campbell, all of Butler, Tenn.; and four brothers, Roddie V. Walsh Jr., Kingsport, Tenn., James Walsh, Springfield, Mo., Bill Walsh and Joe Walsh, both of Butler, Tenn. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 28, with Pastor Janice Marie E. Lowden officiating.
