In the name of God Amen. I, Nicholas Dorsey Senr of Anne Arundel County, Planter being in perfect health and of sound memory praised to Almighty God for it knowing the certainty of death and uncertainty of life do make, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking, making null and void all other Will or Wills by me heretofore made. Imprimis: I commit my soul to the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my body to the earth from whence it came in hopes of a joyful resurrection through the morels of my God and saviour Jesus Christ and as for my worldly goods which it hath pleased him to bless me with I dispose thereof as follows. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving son Nicholas W Dorsey three Negroes Named Toby, Hagar and Jacob and there Increase and what also he has in his Possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Elizabeth Warfield two Negroes named Kate and Nace and their Increase all which she has received and what else she has got in her possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving Grand daughter Elizee Warfield one Negro girl named Rachel and her Increase. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving Grand daughter Juliet Warfield one Negro boy named Jacob. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving son Lloyd Dorsey to him his heirs and Assigns forever the following Tracts or parcel of land lying and situated in Ann Arundel called part of Hunting Quarter and the two resurveys on the same with one hundred and twenty acres of Ex. healed Land called Harrison's Beginning after his mother's decease. or marriage and his paying unto his brother Nicholas W Dorsey or his heirs the sum of two hundrd and fifty pounds current money gold or silver. Likewise, I give to my said son to him his heirs and assigns forever the following Tracts or parcel of land lying and situated in Ann Arundel County called part of Rich Neck and Riggs Wills containing three hundred and twenty nine acres of land more or less. Also I give and bequeath to the said Lloyd Dorsey three Negroes named Joshua, James and Jenny and their Increase and what else he has in possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Anne Worthington to her her heirs and assigns for ever a parcel of land situate in Ann Arundel County containing fifty acres more or less known by the name of Pinkstone Thicket. Also I give unto ___ said Anne Worthington three Negroes named Hannah, Ned and Pross and their Increase and what else she has in possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Mary Dorsey to her her heirs and assigns for ever a parcel of land called Benson's Loll containing fifty acres more or less situate in Montgomery County. Also I give unto said Mary Dorsey, three Negroes named Abraham, Poll, and Easter and their Increase and what else she has in possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving son Joshua Dorsey to him his heirs and assigns forever all the remaining part of that Tract of land lying in Montgomery County called Williams's Range which is not deeded to my son Nicholas W Dorsey. Also I give unto my said son Joshua Dorsey, three Negroes named Harry, Poter, and Mary and their Increase and what else he has in possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Sarah Ball three Negroes named Nell, George and Charles and their Increase and what else she has in possession of my Estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Achsah Dorsey three Negroes Named Lile, Moses and Will and their Increase. Likewise I give unto my said daughter one feather bed and furniture, six head of Cattle, one head of Sheep, one Iron pot a frying pan and one Horse. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Henrietta Dorsey three Negroes named Pippin, Bel and Press and their Increase. ____ Likewise I give unto my said daughter one feather bed and furniture, six six head of Cattle, one head of Sheep, one Iron pot a frying pan and one Horse. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Lydia Dorsey three Negroes Named Will, Rory, and Lid and their Increase, Will being the son of Lid and Lid The daughter of Nell. Likewise I give unto my said daughter one feather bed and Furniture six head of Cattle, one head of Sheep, one Iron pot and a frying pan. Item: I give and bequeath to my loving wife Elizabeth Dorsey during her life Or widowhood my home plantation and all the remaining part of my estate which is not willed and after her decease or marriage to be equally divided among my children viz: Nicholas, Elizabeth, Lloyd, Anne, Mary, Joshua, Sarah, Achsah, Henrietta and Lydia or their hiers. And lastly I hereby ordain and appoint my loving wife Elizabeth Dorsey executrix and my sons Nicholas W Dorsey and Lloyd Dorsey executors to this my last will and testament. In witness is hereof the said Nicholas Dorsey have to this my last will and testament set my hand this sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine. Signed sealed published and declared by Nicholas Dorsey Senr the testator that this is his last will and testament and done in the presence of us the subscribers whom he requested to Evidence this his last will and who have severally subscribed our names as witnesses in the testators presence and in the presence of each other Vachel Warfield John Elder John Lappington On the back of the foregoing will was thus written viz: Anne Arundel County, the 3rd day of November 1792. Then came Vachel Warfield, John Elder, and John Lappington the three subscribing witnesses to the Written last will and testament of Nicholas Dorsey Senr late of Anne Arundel County deceased and made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the testator therein named sign and seal this Will and that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament, that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the request of the testator and in the presence of each other sworn before Jno Gassaway, Reg.
