These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ Last Will and Testament of Andrew Harman Sr. of Anne Arundel Co., Dated 17 April 1817 I Andrew Harman Senior of Anne Arundell County in the State of Maryland Farmer being of sound and disposing mind do make and ordain the following instrument of writing to be my last will and testament, as follows. I give my body to the earth from whence it came and my soul into the hands of that great and good God who created it hoping through the merit of our blessed redeemer that it will inherit eternal life. First I give and bequeath to my sons John and Andrew all the lands of which I may die possssed to have and to hold the same in fee simple to them and each of them, their heirs and assigns. Secondly I give and bequeath to my sons John and Andrew above named alll the Horses of which I may die possessed, to have and to hold the same to them and each of them, their heirs and assings forever. Thirdly I give and bequeath to my Daughters Katy Harman, Betsy Meek, Nancy Harman and Caroline Harman all my personal estate of what ______ ______ (except the Horses above bequeathed to their brothers John and Andrew the said personal estate to be equally divided amongst them when the youngest surviving Daughter shall arrive at the age of sixteen years. Lastly I do hereby appoint my sons John and Andrew to be sole Executors to this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all other will or wills by me heretofore made , enjoining them and each of them to treat their Mother with filial affection and to be at all times, dutiful to her, she having been to me a loving and dutiful wife and to them an affectionate mother. In witness where of and in testimony that the afore going is my last will and testament I have here unto set my hand and seal this seventeeenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen.
