A formatted version can be Viewed at http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/anne/wills/howard-h.pdf Henry Howard (d1684) Will Prerogative Court Anne Arundel Country MD Liber 4, folio 25-26 Also located at 1/11/1/6 Written 31 December 1683 Proved 8 March 1683/4 In the Name of God Amen, I Henry Howard of Maryland in y{e} County of Anarundall this last day of Decemb{r} one thousand six hundred Eighty & three, being weak in body but of sound & pfect sence & memory I bless God for y{e} same, have thought fitt to make this my last Will & Testam{t} hereby making void & disanulling all former Wills & Testamt{s} of wt kind or nature soev{r} by me made First I bequeath my soul to God, hopeing for Eternall life through y{e} merritts of Jesus Christ my body to y{e} Earth from whence it was taken & for my Estate w{ch} God hath lent me to be disposed of as hereafter followeth: Two hundred acres of land in Gunpowder River called Collingborne to Sarah Dorsey Y{e} wife of Joseph Dorsey & to her heirs forevr one Cow called Blossom w{th} her yearling & their increase now going at Rattle snake point form{r}ly Thomas Gwins to Edward Smith formerly my man & to his heirs for ev{r} to Richard Gwin att Patapsco one black Cow about three years old or upwards w{th} her increase for ev{r} in consideracion of keeping chattel for me To Hugh Meriking y{e} two youngest chattels now running at his house w{t}h their increase for ev{r} To Edward Jones one two year old heifer now going att his house with her increase for evr. To Mr. Jn{o} Bennitt & to his wife Sarah one sealed ring marked w{th} a coate of arms & one hooped(?) Ring marked F. C. To Jn{o} Townsin & Jn{o} Howard each of them a suit of my wearing apparrell to Mary Cosens two of my meanest shirts. And to Henry Chappell of Anarundell County four hundred pounds of Tobacco & a pair of silk stockins. To John Howard & Mathew Howard of Anarundell County each a Silv{r} Seale apiece. To John Kelee four hundred pounds of Tobacco or goods to y{e} value of it. Whereas Thomas Colley, by his last will & Testam{t} did appoint myself Henry Howard & Anthony Demonder to make ov{r} a piece of land containing a hundred & fifty acres called Coles Neck to y{e} heyrs of John Kelee they being in their infancey I do hereby appoint Theophilus Hackett to act in my behalfe w{e} he sees convenient as if I were p{r}sent. For y{e} rest of my psonall Estate after y{e} due debts being paid I give unto Theophilus Hackett & Edward Skidmore & Michael Skidmore & Samuel Skidmore & Elizabeth Skidmore equally to be divided amongst them & their heirs for ev{r} & by these presents I doe declare Theophilus Hackett to be my whole Exec{r} of this Will & Testament willing my s{d} Exec{r} to ye true pformance of y{e} same.
