All Rights Reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HENRY SEWELL, GENT ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND I Henry Sewell, being weake in body but yet of sound and perfect memory, do make this my last Will and Testament.- I give and bequeath my Soule to my Lord that made me and all mankind and body to the Earth from whence it came.- Item: I leave my Loving friends, Abraham Child and Mr. John Marriott my two Executors or Guardians to see this my last Will performed.- Item: I give and bequeath (to) my Son James Sewell, one hundred acres of Land out of that divident, I now live upon the outside of the line and fourever (forever).- Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Sewell, one hundred and fifty acres of Land out of that divident and to have it in Beare Neck (Beard Neck) and the upper line and Beare Branch to be his bounds and not to come over the Branch.- Item: I give and bequeath to my son Phillip Sewell one hundred and fifty acres and his bounds are the two Branches that is Beare Branch and Cabbin Branch and to run his course over (Cabbin?) the two branches until he has his compliment of one hundred and fifty acres.- Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Joshua Sewell one hundred acres of Land out of the said divident beginning at the lower sides of the said Cabbin Branch and the said Branch and the lower lines to be his bounds and so out until that he has his compliments of the said hundred acres.- Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter, Elizabeth one feather bedd, one rugg, one blanket, one shoat, one craft-draft? bottle, four pewter dishes,four pewter plates, and one pewter balon?one craft-draft? skillett.- Item: And as for the remainder of my Personall Estate after the payment of my debts to be equally divided between my sons, Henry, Phillip and Joshua Sewell and my Daughter Sarah and Ann Sewell further my Sons shall have the benefit of their Labour at nineteen years of age and the instruction of their Guardians if they or the Court shall see fit or that they are capable, not having more to add, I have interchangeably sett my hand and Seale this Twenty- ninth day of September, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety One.
