I Elizabeth Simmons of Anne Arundel County State of Maryland do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz First. I give a bequest to my well beloved son Jeremiah Chapman Simmons a Negro girl named Hager until the year one thousand eight hundred and fifteen. Any children that the said Hager may have between this time and the above mentioned year one thousand eight hundred fifteen I will to be left to the children of the said Jeremiah Chapman Simmons after the expiration of the year one thousand eight hundred and fifteen. The said Hager is to be a free woman and arriving to the true intent and meaning thereof. I also do make and ordain this my last will and testament and have hereunto signed and affixed my seal this the twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three.
