The cemetery will be on the left in a very short distance. Saint Alphonsus Cemetery is owned and operated by Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church, of Woodstock. The cemetery is well maintained by church personnel and volunteers. The cemetery borders state parkland and is adjacent to the former Woodstock College, which once served as a seminary for Jesuit Priests. Today the grounds and facilities are home to the Job Corps of Maryland. St. Alphonsus Catholic Church is approximately ˝ mile north of the cemetery. The oldest identifiable interments are in the early 1900s (1913). The cemetery is on a hillside with two distinct sections, one an older “lower” section and an “upper” section.” The two sections are adjacent to each other.
