Baltimore County Democrat September 8, 1894
Theold Cold Sprig Hotel, which for three-quarters of a century stood on the 
east side of the York road a short distance south of Cold Spring lane, has 
been torn down to make room for modern dwelling houses.  The old hotel may 
have sheltered travelers over a hundred years ago.
