D. O'Dell, the well known Surveyor and Civil Engineer of Towson, whilst engaged in making a survey in the 13th District found on the west side of the Hammond's Ferry Road, on the land line between the properties of Messer. Smarden and Pumphrey, a stone bearing the dates 1722 and 1792, with a Roman cross and the initials "W.G." engraved thereon.
