September 11, 1858

PARLETT, JAMES B.     At his residence, corner of Ross and Orchard streets, Balt., 
on the 2d inst., James B. Parlett, in the 32d year of his age, leaving a wife and 
three children, and a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn their 
irreparable loss.

PRICE, JOHN M.     On the 4th inst., at his residence, in Baltimore county, near 
Parkton, John M. Price, in the 58th year of his age.

ROBINSON, SARAH NAOMI     On the 1st inst., Sarah Naomi, aged 16 months, daughter 
of George S. and Sarah Robinson.

PARKS, ELENOR     On Wednesday morning, 31st ult., in Texas, Baltimore county, 
Elenor, wife of Wm. Parks, about 30 years of age.

THOMAS, JOSEPHINE     On the 2d inst., at the residence of her brother-in-law, 
Wm. R.Sergeant, Esq., near New Market, Baltimore county, Md., Miss Josephine 
Thomas, in the 18th year of her age.
  Sweet Josephine! Beloved one,
    Now rest in heavenly peace;
  Thy trials are o’er, thy work is done;
    Thy sorrows ever cease.

   Whilst thou wa’st here, thou wa’st most dear,
      To us us who knew thee best;
   Now thou art gone, to Jesus near,
      In His eternal rest.

   Thou wert too pure for longer stay,
     Though much we loved thee here,
    Thy Father, God, called thee away,
      Thou wert to Him more dear.

   Thou can’st not come to us again,
      Nor would we have thee come;
   But we may go to thee, and reign
      With Jesus in His home.
