On the 15th instant, Anna Maria M. Brice, widow of the late Judge Nicholas Brice, in the 85th year of her age. BARNES, SAMUEL At his residence, Spring Hill, Baltimore county, on Wednesday morning, 15th instant, Samuel Barnes, Esq., in the 72nd year of his age, after an illness of a few days, which he bore with calm resignation and Christian fortitude. Mr. Barnes was a native of Queen Anne’s co, but for many years resided in Baltimore, where he was connected with different newspapers. He was one of the “Old Defenders,” and an honest man. SPENCER, PHEBE At Shrewsbury, York county, Pa., Nov. 9th, Mrs. Phebe Spencer, wife of Mr. Samuel C. Spencer, aged 65 years. SPENCER, SAMUEL C. At the same place {Shrewsbury, York Co., Pa.,} December 5th, Mr. Samuel C. Spencer, aged 67 years. [They formerly resided in the 7th District of this county.] {Phebe Spencer was his wife.} EDMONDSON, PROVIDENCE At Davisville, Mrs. Providence Edmondson, aged about 61 years, wife of John Edmondson. “ Be ye ever ready, for such an hour as ye know not the Son of Man cometh.” MASS, FANNY On the 7th inst., in Baltimore, Miss Fanny Mass, formerly of Towsontown, in the 61st year of her age. She was faithful in all things. HUNTER, CLARA SMYSER On the 8th inst., after a short but severe illness of congestion of the brain and typhoid fever, Clara Smyser, daughter of Pleasant and Margaret Hunter, aged 6 years, 10 months and 21 days.
