Wednesday Morning December 26, 1951
Chambersburg, Md., Dec 25. [Special] - The Rev. Morehead E. Dearholt, native of 
Baltimore and long a minister in the Peninsula Methodist Church Conference, 
died at his home, R.F.D. No. 2, Fayetteville, Pa., yesterday after a prolonged 
illness.
Born in Baltimore in 1893, he was the son of the late George and Annie Harris 
Dearholt.
Before his retirement from the conference in 1947, the Rev. Mr. Dearholt served 
chruchs in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia.
At that time he moved to Fayetteville and became a member of the Methodist 
church there.
Surviving him are his wife Mrs. Effie Eckenrode Dearholt; a son, Robert O. 
Dearholt of Elkton, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Paul B. McKenzie Jr. of Florence, 
Ala.; a brother Elmer Dearholt of Reisterstown; and two sisters, Mrs. Alan Gent 
also of Reisterstown, and Mrs. William Robe of Baltimore.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Donald L. Shafer, pastor of the 
Fayetteville Methodist church at 2pm Thursday at Grace Methodist Church, Falls 
and Ridge roads, near Reisterstown. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
