He had been in ill health for the past year and a sudden illness of one day immediately preceded his death. He was a son of Mrs. Sarah Minnie Hoke Eichelberger and the late Dr. James W. Eichelberger. He spent the early part of his life in Emmitsburg. In 1927 he married the former Miss Hilda Rosendale, of Baltimore, and since that time had been employed as a pharmacist in Baltimore. He attended Mt. St. Mary’s College and was a graduate of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland. He was a lifelong member of Elias Lutheran church and Tyrian Lodge, A.F. and A.M. of Emmitsburg. He was also a veteran of the World War. He is survived by his widow and mother and two aunts, Miss Elizabeth Hoke, Emmitsburg, and Mrs. J. Ellis Musselman, of Gettysburg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock from Elias Lutheran church. Rev. Philip Bower, pastor, will officiate. Masonic funeral rites will be held and members of Francis X. Elder Post will attend in a body. The body will lie in state at Elias Lutheran church from noon on Tuesday until the time of the funeral. Burial in Lutheran cemetery.
