ALMONY, EPHRAIM B. - At his residence, Towson, on Tuesday, April, 18th, 1890, 
EPHRAIM B. ALMONY,in the 48th year of his age, a native of the 7th District, 
Baltimore county.

PHIPPS, ROBERT - At Lutherville, on Saturday, April 28th, 1890, ROBERT PHIPPS, 
in the 49th year of his age, a native of London, England.

McCOMAS, J. MARCH - At White Hall, Baltimore county, on April 24th, 1890, CAPT., 
J. MARCH McCOMAS, in the 8?th year of his age.

The funeral of Capt. J. March McComas, who died at his late residence, near 
White Hall, on Thursday, 24th ult., in the 85th year of his age, took place 
on Sunday morning, 27th, and wasvery largely attended by hosts of friends and 
relatives.  The interment took place at McKendree Cemetery, near Black Horse, 
in Harford county, were the aged sire was silently laid beside his kindred and 
ancestors, The Rev. F. H. Havenner, of Hereford M. E. Church, officiating at the 
house and church.  Messrs. Nicholas Lytle, Thomas Lytle, Joshua Lucky, John B. 
Pearce, John Bosley and Jas. A. Elliott, all relatives of deceased, acted as 
pall-bearers.
Mrs. Cowles, of Philadelphia, a daughter of Capt. McComas, has been taken very 
ill since the death of her father.  She is constantly attended by her aged 
mother, who herself is much prostrated by her bereavement.

BARRETT, LAWRENCE - At Mt. Hope, Baltimore county, on April 2?th, 1890 LAWRENCE, 
infant son of Patrick and Margaret Barrett.

CARTER, THOMAS MILLARD - At Gardenville, Baltimore county, on April 24th, 1890, 
THOMAS MILLARD, infant son of Harry and Emma Carter.

ALGIRE, HARRIET - At his residence, Fifth Avenue, Hampden, on April 28th, 1890, 
HARRIET ALGIRE, in the 80th year of her age.

ROHR, CHARLES - At his residence, on the Calverton Road, Baltimore county, on 
April 27, 1890, CHARLES ROHR, in the 56th year of his age.

HILD, SARAH F. - Mrs. Sarah F. Hild, the widow of the late John Hild, of Taylor, 
Harford county, a lady well known and greatly beloved and respected by the 
community, died very unexpectedly at the residence of her son, Mr. Philip Hild, 
in Baltimore, on the 29th ult., in the 74th year of her age.  She had been on a 
visit for a few days, and was enjooying her usual good health, when suddenly she 
was seized with a heavy cold, which rapidly developed in other diseases, and in 
two or three days ended her life, thus plunging a very devoted circle of 
children and grandchildren into the deepest gloom and sorrow, as that mother was 
their idol, only to be waited upon, petted and worshiped.  The remains were 
brought to Monkton by the N. C. R. R., on last Sunday, 27th ult., and from there 
taken to Salem Lutheran Church, in Harford county, for interment, the Rev. H. H. 
Dowdy officiating.  She leaves nine children, Mr. Wm. H. Hild, Mrs. J. A. 
Shepperd, of Monkton; Mr. P. A. Hild, G. Evan Hild, Mrs. Emory Phelps, Mr. Street 
S. Hild, Charles A. Hild and George W. Hild: 23 grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.  Mr. S. S. Hilld, one of the sons, is a resident of Charleston, S. C.  
He reached Baltimore in time to see his mother buried.  Messrs. Charles and John 
Hilld, grandsons of deceased, and Messrs. Jas. M. Shepperd and Frank Riley, of 
Monkton, acted as pall-bearers.  Mr. John Young had charge of the funeral 
arrangements.

JOHNSON, JOSHUA - Joshua Johnson, a well known and aged colored man, died at his 
home, near Wesley Chapel, in the 10th District, after a very short but severe 
illness, on Monday last, 28th ult.  His funeral took place on Wednesday following, 
and was attended by a very large congregation of colored and white people, who 
all thought well of uncle Josh.  He was buried in the graveyard adjoining 
Johnson's colored M. E. Chapel, near his own home.  He leaves a wife and a very 
large family of children and grandchildren.
