He had been a long and patient sufferer and had been confined to the house for the past six months. Mr. Wisner has resided in and near Towson for the past 50 years. When he first came here he followed the trade of a stonemason and worked on the present Epsom Church building when it was built over fifty years ago. - Messrs. William, James P. and Joseph S. Bowen learned the stonemason trade with him. Mr. Wisner was the sub- contractor who built the walls of our Court House, the late Wm. H. Allen being the contractor. He also built the walls of many of the houses erected in and near Towson. After he gave up his trade he followed lime-burning and accumulated some wealth and purchased the property adjoining that of Mr. Wm. M. Isaac. Mr. Wisner has always been an inductrious, hard working man, and indeed, it was his delight to be at work, and by his hard labor he accumulated a large amount of property. He was kind hearted and has helped many persons out of trouble. By his easy way and kind heart he lost a considerable amount of money by endorsing notes, as it seemed he could not say "no" when importuned for favors of this kind; and in many cases was taken advantage of. He was a good citizen and kind neighbor. Mr. Wisner leaves a wife, who, some time since was paralyzed on one side and is still unable to use her hand. He had a family of 15 children, all of whom are dead except three - J. Nelson, Chas. W. and Miss Fannie. He was a member of Towson Lodge, No. 79, I. O. O.
