She was born in Cambridge on April 20, 1905, the daughter of the late Fredeick Everett and Annie Brerewood Hughes. She attended public schools in cambridge, and over the years she had been employed in several local food processing operations, including the Phillips Packing co., Coastal Foods, Chun King, and Old Fashioned Foods, inc., where she was working 4 1/2 years ago when she suffered a stroke. Since that time she had been a patient in the Deer's Head Hospital. She was a member of the Home League of the Salvation Army. She is survived by one son Charles F. (Buck) Hodde of Cambridge, four grandchildren, Robert Darryl Airey whom she raised. Charles F. Hodde 2nd, Kim Hodde and Britt Hodde; three great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Ruth Hill of Cambridge.
