Zimmerman died yesterday afternoon at the Union Prostestant Infirmary where she was taken several weeks ago for an operation. Mrs Zimmerman is survived by her husband and four children: Bessie C., E. Imogen, Franklin M. Jr., and John W. Zimmerman and one sister Miss Susie M. Williams. She was 57 years old and had been married 33 years. For many years she had been a leader in the social and church activites of Hillsdale, THe funeral will take place at 2 PM tomorrow from her home on the Windsor Mill Road. The Rev. E. B. Bagby of the twenty-fifth street Christian Church and the Rev. RObert H. Fleming of the Dickey Memorial Presbyterian Church will conduct the service. Burial will be at Loraine Cemetery. Professor Zimmerman formerly was a member of the facualties of Maryland Agricultural College and Western Maryland College. His death was caused by the infirmities of age. He is survived y two daughters, Mrs. Longley and Mrs. Mary Timanus and by two sisters, Mrs. Dora Hooper and Miss Emma Zimmerman. Two grandsons Dr. Loutrell Timanus and LeRoy Longley also survive. Zimmerman a Victim of Pneumonia - He was presiding Elder of the Baltimore District of the Methodist Episcopal Church - He was a Chaplain and Then a Calvaryman Under Gen. "Jeb" Stuart in the Confederate Army - During His Ministerial Career He Was Pastor of Churches in the State and in the City - His Surviving Family- Rev. George Henry Zimmerman, presiding elder of the Baltimore district of the Methodist Epsicopal Church South, died shortly after 10 o'clock yestrerday at his home, No. 923 Harlem avenue from pneumonia. Rev. Mr. Zimmerman had been sick since about the middle of August, but had been confined to his bed, previous to his death, for only three weeks. He had during his spell of sickness four attacks of pneumonia. Three children survive him. They are Joshua S. Zimmerman, a lawyer residing at Romney W. VA., Edgar R. Zimmerman, a student residing at this city, and George H. Zimmerman Jr., a student at Romney W. Va. Rev. Mr. Zimmerman also leaves a mother, Mrs. Elizabeth ZImmerman, who is eighty-four years old. She resides at Loraine, Baltimore Co., Md, which is the family homestead. HIs brothers are Messrs. William E., Charles T., and Franklin M. Zimmerman, all of Baltimore County. His sisters are Mrs. Elizabeth Brayshaw, Manassas Va., Mrs. Susan E. Graves, Baltimore county, and Mrs. Ida L. Becker of this city. Rev. Mr. Zimmerman was born near Dickeyville..... His father, Joshua Zimmerman died about two years ago at his home at Loraine in Baltimore County. The funeral of the dead clergyman will take place this afternoon at Loraine. Rev. I. W. Cantoer, presiding elder of the East Baltimore district and Rev. J. S. Hutchinson , formerly presiding elder of the Baltimore District will officiate. The interment at Loraine Cemetery. Mr. E. ELDER ZIMMERMAN DEAD - He Was One of the Ablest Members of the Baltimore Conference, Southern Methodist. Rev. George H. Zimmerman, presiding elder of the Baltimore district of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, died of pneumonia yesterday at the boearding house of Mrs. V. Harvey, 923 Harlem avenue. He suffered in the middle of August an attack of rheumntism which developed into pnuemonia. Rev. Mr. Zimmerman recovered from the first attack of pneumonia, but subsquently sustained three relapses, the last one causing his death. Rev. George Henry Zimmerman was born near DIckeyville, Baltimore county, September 20, 1938, and was a son of Mr. Joshua Zimmerman, a farmer. He was educated at Washington College, Chestertown and Dickinson College, graduating from the last named institution a shore (sic. short) time before the breaking out of the civil war. Some years later Dickinson College conferred on him the degree of master of arts. He entered the Baltimore Conference as a probationer at Winchester Va in March 1860, and served as a junior preacher on the Fairfax and Charles circuits. In 1862 the young preacher went south and served as a private in Brethed's Battery of Stuart's horse artillery, afterward as a chaplain of the Twelfth Virginia Calvary and at the close of the war was a staff officer in the army of Northern Virginia. After the war Rev. Zimmerman resummed his minsterial duties. He was ordained deacon and elder at Alexandria, Va in February 1866 by bishop John Early of the Methodist Epsicopal Church South. His first appointments included the pastorates if Winans Chapel, this city which has since developed into St Paul's Church, Fayette street near Carrollton Avenue and of the old Bond Street Church. He also served the Harford, Baltimore and Talbot circuits and Cumberland, Piedmont, Moorefield. and Woodstock stations, and was at the time presiding elder of hte Roanoke district. From the Woodstock station, Rev. Mr. Zimmerman was transferred to the West River circuit. His next charge was Hyattsville of which he was relieved and made presiding elder of the Moorefield district. At the last annual conference of the Baltimore Conference at Hinton, W Va. Rev. Mr. Zimmerman was transferred from the presiding eldership of the Moorfield district to that of the Baltimore district, suceeding Rev. John S. Hutchinson. He was alsothe editor of the Baltimore Christian Advocate, the offical organ of the Baltimore Conference of the Southern Methodist Epsicopal........
