Isaac Taylor, a highly respected colored man, died on Wednesday last at his home on Schwarz avenue, near the 5 Mile House, York road, aged 82 years. Deceased was born a slave to the late William E. Stansbury, of "Union Hall," near the Hillen road, and remained with his family until given his freedom. Later he was employed by Mr. Francis L. Hilberg, who owned and occupied the property now owned by Mr. E. H. Walker, on the east side of the York road, a short distance north of Govanstown, and remained with him over thiry years, or until his employer sold the place and removed to Baltimore. Isaac was a man of excellent character and had been a member of the Methodist Church for more than half a century. He had been totally blind for several years. He leaves a widow and children. A singular coincidence in connection with the death of Isaac is the fact that Mr. Hilberg also died this week.
