Councilman and Mrs. Sadie Sheldon is announced to take place shortly. Mr. Councilman is a farmer, and owns a fine estate near Pikesville. His intended bride is a daughter of the late Patrick H. Walker and granddaughter of the late Noah Walker. McEvoy – Green The marriage of Mr. William McEvoy to Miss Olie Green of this county took place in St. Vincent’s Church, North Front street, Baltimore, at 6 o’clock Wednesday evening, the Rev. Thomas E. Stapleton officiating. The marriage was quite an event in East Baltimore Catholic circles, both of the contracting parties being well and favorably known. Von Reisin – Ridgely The invitations to the marriage of Mr. Samuel A. von Reisin and Miss Frances A. Ridgely, at Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church, Towsontown, Wednesday, were recalled in consequence of the death of an uncle of the bride. The marriage, however, in a quiet way, took place in the Episcopal Chapel at Lutherville. Only relatives of the families were present. Rev. W. H. H. Powers, rector of Trinity Church, Towson, performed the ceremony. Mr. Lemuel T. Appold was best man, and Misses Flora Ridgely and Julia von Reisin were bridesmaids. The bride was dressed in white silk, and wore a long tulle veil. The bridesmaids wore white silk and tulle, and carried bouquets of La France roses. Professor Rudolph played the wedding march. The altar was decorated with potted plants. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Charles W. Ridgely, a resident of Lutherville. Mr. and Mrs. Von Reisin left in the evening for a trip of several weeks North and West. Price – Shelley Miss Matilda A. Shelley, of the Tenth district, to Mr. J. Albert Price. The wedding will be celebrated on the 24th inst., at 5.30 P. M., at Clynmaliria M. E. Church. Corse – Matthews My Lady’s Manor, Miss Flora Matthews, granddaughter of Mr. Thos. H. Matthews, of this district, to De. Wm. D. Corse, of the 12th district. The marriage will take place according to the ceremony of the Society of Friends on the 23d inst., in the evening, at the Park Avenue Friends’ Meeting House, Baltimore. Four beautiful bridesmaids will precede the bridal pair. Wilcox – Cowan Miss Florence Cowan, of Baltimore, niece of Mr. Joshua F. Cockey, of this place, to Mr. William L. Wilcox, of the city. Grace P. E. Church, Baltimore, will be the scene of a most beautiful matrimonial event on this occasion and at the hour of seven on the 23d instant. There will be a large number of ushers and handsomely dressed bridesmaids. Your correspondent, knowing all the parties, wish them all the blessings possible for their happiness.
