I, Alexander Akins of that Ilk, Gentleman of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland, now being sick of body but of sounde minde and memory (praise be to almighty God) therefore I doe hereby make this my last wille and testament bequeathing my soul to my Heavenly Father and my body to be buried in a descent and Christian manner in the hope of receiving the same again at the ressurection - "First I doe give and bequeath all my worldly possessions in this countrie to my beloved wife Jonet Akins to be enjoyed by her for the remainder of her life or widowhood and thence to pass to my eldest sonne, Johne Akins younger of that Ilk now living in the County of Manahan in the Province of Ulster in Ireland to be received by him or his heirs upon coming to this countrie, leaving all of that part of my estate in Ireland to be divided equally amongst the rest of my children and their heirs. I also will and bequeath that my Bible, sword, seale and grant of armes shall be kept by my sonne John Akins and by his heirs forever after. Lastly I doe make and appoint my brother in law Thomas Balfour to be the Executor and administrator of my estate, that he shall see that all of my just and lawfull debts in this world be paid and my estate bequeathed according to this my last wille and testament.
