These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ Will of Joshua Boring, of Baltimore County dated March 29, 1822, filed April 13, 1822 Source Baltimore County Courthouse, Book 11, Page 408, Microfilm Only In the name of God Amen, I Joshua Boring of Baltimore County in the State of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my wordly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say; First and Principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named and after my debts and legal expenses are paid I devise and bequeath as follows. I give and bequeath unto my eldest Daughter Elizabeth Morrison Ten Acres of Land whereing whe now lives to be laid of as convenient to the dwelling as possible, to her the said Elizabeth and her heirs and ~~~~~~ and assigns fee simple. Item, I give and bequeath unto eldest son John Boring the sum of One Dollar and no more. Item I gaive and bequeath unto my ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ruthe my second Daughter the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, Item I give and bequeath unto Rebecah Lane (Wife of Caleb Lane) the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, Item, I give and bequeath unto the heirs of my deceased Daughter Aberilla the sum of One Dollar and no more, Item, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Wilet the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, Item, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy the sum of two hundred Dollars, current money, Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife during her natural life one Room in my Dwelling house with sufficiency of firewood with the privilege of One Acre of ground for garden, to be found a Cow with sufficiency of feed and pasture during the life of my said Wife and have forty Dollars paid her annually out of the proceeds of my farm during her natural life. (to be instead of her thirds) Item, I give and devise unto my youngest Son Isaac Boring my Plantation whereon I now live and dwell known by the name of Joshua Boring Son of John his Forest containing near two hundred Acres more or less to him the said Isaac and his heirs and assigns in fee simple. I also tax the said farm with the payment of all the aforesaid Legacy's and the performance of the bequest to my said Wife. I also give and bequeath unto my said Son Isaac all the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate both Real and Personal,
