Imprimis, I will that my body be Decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned and that my Just debts and Funeral charges be paid. Item, I will that all my wearing apparell (sic) be equally divided between my two daughters Sarah Dorsey and Vinicie Dorsey. Item, I leave to my Son Joshua Dorsey one Shilling Sterling and no more. Item, I leave to my Son Greenburry Dorsey one Shilling Sterling and no more. Item, and as for my Estate I leave it to be equally divided between Vincent Dorsey John Hammond Dorsey and John Dorsey Son of Greenberry Dorsey. Item What debts is due to me by my children on book or otherwise I freely give unto them. Item I leave to Comfort Dorsey daughter to Greenberry Dorsey a Pair of gold Ear Rings, and whereas there is mortgage due to me by my Son Joshua Dorsey amounting to the Value of Forty one Pounds I will that it shall be left to Elizabeth Dorsey the Daughter of Joshua Dorsey. Item I leave to John Dorsey Son of Greenberry Dorsey one of my best beds, two pair Sheets, a Mugg and one Pair Blankets and Bolster over and above his Proportion (sic) the same to be delivered with Curtains and Hangings when he arrives to the age of Twenty one year And lastly I will that John Hammond Dorsey be my Executor. In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty Seven. Comfort Dorsey Signed sealed and Published and declared in Presence of Daniel Remley, John Day, Stephen Onion On the back of the foregoing will was this written on the 23rd day of January 1747 came Stephen Onion and Daniel Remley two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will and made oath that they saw the Testator Comfort Dorsey sign and seal the same and that they heard her Publish and declare it to be her Last Will and Testament that at the time of so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and that they (with John Day) the other Subscribing Witness subscribed their respective names to the said will as witnesses in the Presence of the said Testator but these deponants declare they do not remember the said Testator desired them to Subscribe their names to the said Will as witnesses.
