Of Baltimore County, Maryland. I give devise and bequeath unto my son Shadrack Kemp, my dwelling plantation lying in Baltimore County, being part of a tract of land called Three times Surveyed, and part of a tract called Second Cost as surveyed by Amon Richards and called (lot No. 1 one) containing One Hundred and Thirty three Acres and Thirty perches more or less, A plat and certificate of said lot No. one is preserved among my private papers To him my said Son Shadrack Kemp his heirs and assigns forever requiring him however to pay unto my daughter Elizabeth Woodcock wife of Wm. Woodcock Three Hundred and fifty dollars and to my daughter Mary Cole wife of Enestes Cole Three Hundred and fifty dollars, and also to my Daughter Rebecca Ensor, wife of George Ensor Three hundred and fifty dollars All to be paid as soon as circumstances may permit. I also give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Son Shadrack Kemp my lot or part of a tract of land called Deer Park containing six acres one rood and thirty nine perches more or less. This tract I bequeath in fee to my said son Shadrack Kemp his heirs and assigns forever. I also will and bequeath unto my aforesaid son Shadrack Kemp my Family Bible with all my household furniture, wearing apparel & also all bills, money, and personal property of every kind. I give, devise, and bequeath unto my son Hosea Kemp, his heirs and assigns forever my farm on which he lately resided and which he now has under his superintendence lying in Baltimore County being part of a tract of land called Three times Surveyed and part of a tract called Second Cost as surveyed by Amon Richards and now called Lot No. 2 containing One hundred acres one rood and twenty nine perches more or less. A plat and certificate of lot No. 2 is preserved among my private papers Requiring him to pay unto my son Richard Kemp or heir Three hundred and fifty dollars but if it be ascertained that they are deceased the same to be equally divided and paid unto my three daughters Viz. Elizabeth Woodcock, Mary Cole and Rebecca Ensor. And furthermore I do hereby appoint and constitute my son Shadrack Kemp the sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former Wills by me heretofore made satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 4th Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five. Cofiell Kinsey Kemp Baltimore County, S.S On the 12th day of May 1865 came Lewis Kemp and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that he doth not know of any other Will or Codicil of Shadrack Kemp late of said County, deceased, other than the above instrument of writing, and that he received the same from the testator on or about the 15th day of January 1865. Sworn to in open Court. Test. John Philpot Register of Wills for Baltimore County On this 10th day of May 1865 came Lewis Kemp, Noah S. Cofiell and Kinsey Kemp subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing Last Will and testament of Shadrack Kemp late of said County, deceased, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see the Testator sign and seal this Will that they heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last Will & testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, and that they subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in his presence at his request, and in the presence of each other.
