Last Will and Testament of Dennis Ring


Baltimore County, Md.
Dated: May 10,1890 

Know All Men by these Presents,

That I Dennis Ring of Baltimore County in the State of Maryland, retired from active 
business, being of sound disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last 
Will and Testament. 
First. I commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me, and the 
disposal of my body leave to the disposal of my children. 
Second. I give and bequeath to my wife Eliza Ring the interest of one half what the estate 
will bring when sold, for her life estate, and at her death to be divided eqully amongths my 
children share and share alike. 
Third. I want all my personal property in and abut the premise sold after the regular 
course of time after my death except my wife's bedroom furniture, my library to be equally 
divided among my children, and my son Edwin Ring to have my Carpenter tools, my farm 
to be offered for sale after my death at public or private sale, if it should not bring 
twenty-five thousand Dollars at the time it is offered it is to be withdrawn, you can sell at 
any time you get twenty five thousand for it, at the expiration of five years after my death 
it is to be sold for what it will bring and divided equally amongst you. 
Fourthly. I give and bequeath unto my seven children namely, George M. Ring, Edwin 
Ring, John Ring, David Ring, Annie Zimmerman wife of David Zimmerman, R. Howard 
Ring, and Violette Hughes wife of Alfred Hughes. I consider David has got twenty one 
hundred dollars add what you get for the real and personal property to the twenty one 
hundred and divide in seven equal shares, one share to each person, you must first take 
out your Mothers half of the real estate the interest of which to be for her benefit while she 
lives and at her death to be eqully divided among you as said before after paying all 
expenses, if the place is not sold it is to rented to a good tenant until sold, the tennant 
should put one hundred dollars worth of manure a year on the farm beside what is made 
on the place, no wood to be cut only for the use of the place, but my son Edwin to have 
what wood he wants for his own use. 
Fifthly.I hereby constitute and appoint both my sons George M. Ring and Edwin Ring as 
my Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and I hereby direct that any of the 
beneficaires under this Will that make any contest over any of the provision therein in an 
an effort to obtain more than what by the terms is given or make any constest of any kind 
or endeavor to show it is not my last Will and Testament then the provision of the Will for 
such beneficaries are that they shall get nothing and be divided eqully among the rest of 
you who do not in any way dispute my my will, such beneficaries shall in consequence 
receive nothing whatever under the terms of this my last Will and Testament. 
In testimony whereof, I have herewith set my hand-seal and publish and declare this my 
last Will and Testament in the presence of the witnesses named below this tenth day of 
May in the year One thousand Eight hundred and Ninety.

Testament in the presence of us who in his presence of each other and at his request have 
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Baltimore County, SS. 
On the 27th day of June, 1893, Came Edwin Ring, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely 
of Almighty God, that he does not know of any Will or Codicil of Dennis Ring, late of said 
County, deceased, other than the above Instrument of Writing, and that he found the same 
among the papers of said testator on or about the 17th day of June, 1893.
