Taylor of Baltimore County, Maryland, In the name of God, Amen. I John H. Taylor of Baltimore County, Maryland, being of sound mind and memory, calling to mind the frailty and uncertainty of human life and being desirous of setting my wordly affairs, do make and publish this my last will and testament by me heretofore made, And first I commend my immortal being to him who gave it, and my body to the earth, to be buried with little expense or ostentation. And as to my worldly estate and all the property real, personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeath and give unto my beloved wife, Sarah E. Taylor during her natural life, and at her death to be equally divided between my children Sarah F.(?), Bertha, Bessie D. Julia M. and John T.R. or to such of my children as shall be living at the time of the death of my beloved wife Sarah E., Should my beloved wife Sarah E. die before my youngest child and son John T.R. becomes twenty one years of age then the house and lot now owned by me shall be kept as a home for all of my children until my son John T.R. shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, then the property is to be sold and divided equally share and share alike to each one of them. Lastly, I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Sarah E. to be the executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Seven, John H. Taylor (seal) The above instrument was now here subscribed by John H. Taylor the testator in the presence of each of us, and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament; And we at his request, All living in Baltimore County, sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses. Joshua Cain, Residing at or near Warren, Balto County, William Morfoot, Residing at or near Warren, Balto County, Daniel Hedrick, Residing at or near Warren, Balto County. Baltimore County On the 25th day of August, 1897, came Sarah E. Taylor, and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that she does not know of any will or codicil of John H. Taylor, late of said Baltimore County, deceased, other than the instrument of writing, and that she received the same from the Testator on or about the 25th day of October, 1887, and Testator died 25th December, 1887. Sworn in open Court Test: Henry C. Hebb, Register of Wills for Baltimore County On the 25th day of August, 1897, came William Morfoot and Daniel Hedrick, subsribing witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and Testament f John H. Taylor, late of said County, deceased, and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see the Testator sign and seal this will, that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament; that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their comprehension of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, and that they together with Joshua Cain, now deceased, subscribed their names as witnesses to this Will in his presence at his request, and in the presence of each other.
