These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ Will of George Tracey of Baltimore Co. dtd 20 Oct 1853 In the name of God Amen, I George Tracey of Baltimmore County in the state of Maryland being weake of body but of sound and disposing mind memmory and understanding considering the certainty of death and uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence di therefore make and publish this my last will and Testament in maner and form following that is to say. Item. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Rozannah Tracey the one third of my home Sted farm nown by the name of Edron's Hills and Dales containing Sixty foure acres more or less allso the one third part of two other tracts of land, one known by the name of Golden Grove containing one hundred and thiorty six acres more or less the other tract containing seventeen acres more or less. I give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved wife Rozannah Tracey during her naturelal life or widowhood. except the privlegs I here after devise. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son William Henry Tracey my home sted farm containing sixty foure acres more or less by the name of Edron's Hills and Dales. I give and bequeath two other tracks of land to my siad son W. H. Tacey one track containing one hundred and thirty six acres more or less known by the name of Golden Grove the other tract containing seventeen acres more or less known by the name of Christen Chance and part of Ederns Hills and Dales, except the one third of the aforesaid tracts of land which I have devised to my wife Rozannah Tracey during her nutureral life or widowhood. I give to him the said William H Tracey and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body the aforesaid tracts and parcels of land to him the said William H Tracey and his lawful issue heir but if my sonthe said William H Tracey should die wothout lawfull issue at the death of my son I then give and bequeath the aforesaid tracks and parcels of track of land unto my two dauighters to Sophia Jane Tracey and Mary E. Tracey to them their heirs in fee siple but if my son William Henry Tracey should diewith leagal issue I then give him the said son W. H. Tracey the aforesaid tracts or part of tracts of Land to him his heirs and assigns forever whith a previso that I hereby reserve out of the aforesaid tracks or part of tracks of Land the sum of fourteen hundred dollars which I hereinafter shall devise to my two daughters. Item. I give and devise unto my daughter Sophia Jane Tracey seven hundred dollars to be paid to her by myson William H Tracey when she arrives at the age of eighteen. Item. I give and devise unti my daughter Mary E. Traceysevenhundred dollars to be paid her by my son William H. Tracey when she arrives at the age of eighteen. Item. I give and devis unto my dear and beloved wife Roszannah Tracey all my household and kitch furniture during her natural life and after her death to my son William H. Tracey his heirs and assigns foreever. Item. I devise and bequeath unto my Son William H. Tracey all the rest of my personal estate horses, store notes of hand book accounts stocks of every kind and all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal to him the siad William Henry Tracey his heirs and assigns forever. And whereas it is my desire that my mother Mary Tracey shall have at comfortable maintenance out of the real Estate of my aforesaid lands and I do hereby bind my lands for the maintenance of my said mother Mary Tracey. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my dear wife Rozannah Tracey to be sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament revoking and anulling all former wills by me theretofore made ratifying and conforming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. I Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seale this 20th day of Cotober in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three. Ensor one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament of George Tracey late of said county deceased and made on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that he did see the Testator sign this Will that he heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of his .....ding and that he together with Zachariah Cole and Henry Baker subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other. George Tracey's Estate Renounciation: I Rozannah Tracey, Widow of George Tracey late of Baltimore County, deceased, do hereby renounce and quit all claims to any bequest or claim made to me by the last Will of my husband exhibited and proved according to Law and I elect to take in lieu , my dower or legal [share?] of the estate of my said husband.
