Crowley was born about 1908 in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Western High School from 1922-1924, then the Maryland Institute n 1925, studying costume design. She was the daughter of Harry D. and Anna M. Crowley, and may have had sisters, Ruth and Rose. Her address at that time was 2137 Penrose Ave, Baltimore. She is listed on the 1930 census in the household of her father, H.H. Crowley, with her husband James Allison. She and James became engaged in 1925, and must have married between then and the census in 1930. Additional Comments: All information is from handwritten entries in a "School Days" journal, and there is much more written, as well as mementos and a few photos pasted into the book. The book is mildewed and in rough condition. Free to family member for postage.
