The paper is a tri-fold paper that opens up into a full length paper in two pages. It states the following: (on Front--top) ASSIGNMENT from ESTHER A. HULSE to ROLAND A. THOMPSON Block No. 7441 Received for Record June 7, 1946, at 11:15 AM. Same day recorded in Liber M.L.P. No. 6935 Folio 65 &c., one of the Land Records of Baltimore City and examnined per M. Luther Peterman (?), Clerk. (on Front--bottom) William C. Rogers, Atty. at Law, 1521-26 Munsey Building, Baltimore 2, MD. [note: at far bottom it states that this paper was printed by The Daily Record Co., Baltimore, MD and the Relief Tax was 50 cents] (Inside) This Deed, made this 5th day of June in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty-six by and between ESTHER A. HULSE of Baltimore City in the State of Maryland, of the first part, and ROLAND A. THOMPSON, of Baltimore City in the State of Maryland of the second part. (Underneath are several different stamp like additions with different denominations of money value. Two say Documentary: one for $2.00, one for $1.00. Underneath these are two other stamps, both saying Documentary. One is for 25 cents, the other for 5 cents. Beside these stamps are four stamps (brown, blue, orange and green) that say "Recordation Tax, Act of 1937". They are listed in monetary value as the following: $2.00; 50 cents, 20 cents and 10 cents.) Witnessth, That in consideration of the sum of Five dollars ($5.00) and other good and valuable considerations, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said ESTHER A. HULSE doth grant and convey unto said ROLAND A THOMPSON, his personal representatives and assigns, all that lot of ground situate in Baltimore City, State of Maryland aforesaid, and described as follows, that is to say: Begining for the same on the northwest side of CEDLEY Street at the distance of two hundred feet northeasterly from the corner formed by the intersection of the northeast side of WENBURN Street with the northwest side of Cedley Street and running thence northeasterly binding on the northwest side of Cedley Street fifteen feet thence northwesterly at right angles with Cedley Street to and through the center of the partition wall there being eighty-two feet to a ten foot alley there being thence southwesterly binding on the said alley with the use thereof in common fifteen feet and thence southwesterly to and through the center of the partition wall there being eighty-two feet to the place of the begining. The improvements thereof being know as No. 2202 Cedley Street. BEING the same lot of ground which by Deed of Assigment dated September 10, 1945, and recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore City in Liber M. LP, 6795, folio 129, was granted and conveyed by ILA F. HENSLEY to ESTHER A. HULSE the within Grantor. Together with the buildings thereof, and rights, alleys, ways, waters, privileges, appurtenances and advantages thereto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To Have and To Hold the said described lot of ground and premises, unto and to the use of the said ROLAND A THOMPSON, his personal representatives and assigns, for all the residue of the term of years yet to come and unexpired therein, with the benefit of renewal forever; subject to the payment of the annual rent of SEVENTY-TWO ($72.00) dollars, payable half-yearly on the first days of February and August in each and every year. And the said party of the first part hereby convenants that she has not done or suffered to be done any act, matter or thing whatsoever, to encumber the property hereby conveyed; that she will warrant specially the property hereby granted; and that she will execute such further assurances of the same as may be requisite. HULSE, the above named Grantor, satisfactorily proven to be the person whose name is subscribed to the within instrument and she acknowledged the aforegoing Deed to be her act and deed and that she executed the same for the purposes therein contained.
