Baltimore County Advocate  January 30, 1858 January 30, 1858
The New Orleans Crescent, referring to the verdict of $100,000 in favor of 
Francis Penn, against this estate, says:
  With this judgment against it of $100,000 and several years interest, with 
the great depreciation in the value of vacant real estate, the cities of New 
Orleans and Baltimore will, if litigation continues five years longer, be 
brought in debt.  We think it would be well to abandon the entire estate to 
the Orphan Boys' Asylum, (which has a claim of four hundred thousand dollars,) 
or to the pretended heirs, for it will eat itself up under the great decline 
in propety.
