E. Church Thanksgiving eve. The groom was Charles S. Parke, only child of an esteemed colored citizen, John Parke, of Hullsville, and the bride was Carrie Murdock, of the city. The Rev. Mr. Carroll performed the ceremony. Eighteen carriages took the company to the city, returning with many more to their new home. They all had a grand time feasting, singing and playing little love-making plays. A band of music serenaded them the next evening and another good old time, only of a higher life, was enjoyed. The presents were costly and too numerous to be mentioned, some coming from New York and Washington. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/mdfiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
