Edgar G. Miller Thos. Hill } Executors Baltimore City S.S. (?) On the 13th day of June 1879 came Edgar G. Miller and Thomas Hill, Executors of Samuel Bevan, deceased and Edger G. Miller solemnly declared and affirmed and Thomas Hill made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the aforegoing is a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular ?? goods, and chattels of the said Deceased, that have come to their ?? hands, knowledge or possession at the time of making thereof, etc. ??? what has since or shall hereafter come to his hands, knowledge or possession, then will return in an additional Inventory, ??? know of no concealment and suspect any to be, that if the should be held to discover any concealment or suspect any to be, they will make the Register of Wills for Baltimore City acquainted therewith that the same may be inquired into according to law. The difference is $53.60 and is probably due to misinterpretation of the handwriting. 3) In the 1864 Baltimore City Directory, Samuel Bevan is listed as living at 120 Park Avenue and as owning a company (Samuel Bevan & Co.) that “import. & job. in English, French, and German dry goods.” It was located at 279 W. Baltimore. This location may be the property described in inventory item #274.
