First I commend my soul to the Almighty God who gave it to me and my body to the grave and declaring my dear Beloved wife Sarah Lock my whole and soul Executor of this my last Will and Testament. First I bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Lock my house and lott where I now live with all the moveables during her life at her decease the house and lott then to be the Right and property of Thomas Lock the moveables to be at the disposal of wife Sarah Lock at my Death as she pleaseth. I also bequeath and leave to my son Jacob Lock a lott of ground beginning for the same at beginning of a post set up on the East side of the main Road leading from Baltimore Town to the ferry point [unintelligible] us and nearly opposite to a post set up on the West side of the aforesaid Road. Thence running with and binding on the East side of the main Road South 28 East 34 feet eight inches. Thence running North 83 degrees, 30 minutes East 212 feet. Thence North 28 degrees West 34 feet eight inches. Thence South 83 degrees 30 minutes West 212 feet to the place of beginning to have and to hold forever. I bequeath and leave to my son Nathaniel Lock a lott of ground Beginning for the same at the end of 69 feet and 11 inches from the corner of Jacob Lock’s lott and running with and binding on the ferry Road east 34 feet eight inches. Thence North 83 degrees 30 minutes East 212 feet. Thence North 28 degrees West 34 feet eight inches. Thence South 83 degrees 30 minutes West 212 feet to the place of beginning to have and to hold forever. I also bequeath and leave to son William Oakley Lock one shilling and to my daughter Susanah Lock one shilling. I bequeath and leave to my Wife Sarah Lock one lott of ground Beginning for the same at the back part of Jacob Locks Lott and Running from thence 212 feet to the Fort Road and binding on the Fort Road 25 feet 9 inches thence running back 212 feet to Jacob Locks lott thence to the place of beginning to have and to hold the said Sarah Lock her heirs and assigns for ever. There are [four unintelligible words] this of my Wifes to be sold for the payment of my Just Debts and personal charges. I do declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day of April in the year of our Lord 1786 William Lock (seal)
