The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Will Book 21, Page 731, Maryland In the Name of God Amen the Third day of November One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six I John Dodson of Calvert County in the Province of Maryland being weak in body but of sound & perfect Memory -- Thanks be to Almighty God & calling to mind the uncertainty of this ____ life Do make Constitute ______ & Declare this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following Revoking & Annulling these presents all & every Testament & Testaments Will & Wills heretofore by me made or declared either by Word or Writing & this is to be taken only for my last Will and Testament & none other And now for the settling of my estate & such goods & chattles as it hath pleased God to Bestow on me Likewise I doe order Give & Dispose the same in manner & form following (that is to say) I Will that all those Debts I owe in right & conscience to any manner of person or persons whatsoever shall be well & truly paid within Convenient time after my Decease by my Executor hereafter named. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved son James Dodson One Cow & calf to him & his Heirs for ever. Item -- I give and Bequeath to my well beloved Son John Dodson my best featherbed & furniture & my young mare & her increase. Only my two grand children William Morgan & John Morgan to have each of them a mare colt the first two that shall be foaled after my decease Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Elenor Wooden one Cow and Calf to her & her Heirs for ever. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Son Benjamin Dodson one Cow & Calf & my young horse called Little Rone. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Son Elias Dodson one Cow & Calf to him & his heirs for ever Item --I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Son Joseph Dodson one Cow & Calf to him & his Heirs for ever. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Sarah Dodson one Cow & Calf to her and her Heirs for ever. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Margaret Howard One Shilling & none to her Heirs. Item -- I give & Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Cards Heirs One Shilling & no more.
