Will of Philip W. Downes of Caroline Co., MD JBS:1:382
 
Appoint wife Annie H. Downes sole executrix with full power and authority to sell and
dispose of all my estate and property; real, personal and mixed.  It being my intention
hereby to allow my estate to be divided distributed as the laws of the state of Maryland
shall direct.
 
4th June 1890 date signed
7th June 1895 George M. Russum, the custodian gives oath to validity of the will.
10 June 1895 Widow (unnamed) and heirs-at-law (unnamed) certify the will has been read
to them and they do hereby request the honorable Orphans Court to admit the will to
probate: Annie H. Downes, J.D. Downes, O.W. Downes
11 June 1895 Orphan's Court admits will to probate
