Downes, all my household and kitchen furniture and the sum of two thousand dollars. To my son, Arthur J. Downes, the sum of one thousand dollars. To my son Vachel A. Downes, the sum of one thousand dollars. To my son Lester A. Downes, the sum of one thousand dollars. To my sons; Arthur J. Downes, Vachel A. Downes and Lester Downes, my farm in the Sixth Election District of Queen Anne County, State of Maryland, known as the Downes farm, absolutely, share and share alike. I request that my said sons, as soon as thy conveniently can, shall sell said farm at either public or private sale, as in their judgment they may deem for their best interests. To my granddaughter, Dorothy Mane Downes, the sum of $250.00, to be placed in the Savings Department of Ridgely Bank and paid over to said granddaughter at the age of 18 years (plus interest). To grandson, Vachel Downes, Jr. the sum of $250.00, to be placed in the Savings Department of Ridgely Bank and paid over to said grandson at the age of 21 years (plus interest). All the rest, residue and remainder of estate to my wife Martie C. Downes, and my sons: Arthur J. Downes, Vachel A. Downes and Lester A. Downes; share and share alike. Ex: Wife Martie G.
